Going to Palm Springs
"Pomegranate margaritas are replacing gin martinis. And Hollywood script readers are pushing out AARP subscribers. Where to Stay: The newest option is the 163-room Hotel Zoso, a former Marriott Marquis that reopened after a $25 million upgrade that includes poolside cabanas and large guest rooms.”

Passport Concierge
"Just as unique as the area is the 165-room boutique Hotel Zoso, with modern/retro Samuel Starkman designed décor which, as Mark Daoust notes, “captures the casual elegance and glamour of old Palm Springs while maintaining a hip and sophisticated feel.” Located in the center of town, within walking distance to most restaurants, shops, galleries, and clubs, guest rooms are equipped with 42” plasma flat screen televisions and balconies with breathtaking views of the San Jacinto and Santa Rosa Mountains. The prime asset to any desert property, the pool, is tricked out gorgeously with an extensive misting system, stylish Brown Jordan Wave furniture, double chaise lounges, vibrant red cabanas, and a seven-foot, quartzite fire pit to warm the cooler evenings.”

Dive-In Movies
"One hears that drive-in movies are making a comeback, but we do things differently in Palm Springs. The luxe downtown Hotel Zoso is projecting a collection of short films that you can watch from poolside. Or you could just bring your own raft and float in the water. How cool. Friday night happy hour, 5-8 p.m. gives way to show time at 8 p.m."

Summertime and the Living is Easy at Hotel Zoso
"If you're a local, it's quite likely you don't make it a habit to frequent valley hotels. Why would you? You live here for chrissakes. But Hotel Zoso in downtown Palm Springs may very well challenge your laissez-faire locals-only attitude. Serene and sensual, Hotel Zoso is a state of mind as much as an amazing place to stay if you're a visitor – and play if you're a desert rate just looking for a little action."

Jennifer Tilly "Screen Siren vs. Poker Bombshell" "Win, Lose or Drama"
"Jennifer Tilly is happier, she says, than she has been in a long time – even if she's a bit tired at the moment. She is comfortable in a T-shirt and jeans as we dine at Hotel Zoso, her favorite local hideout, going casual given that she's just spent the afternoon crawling over dunes in a Cavali gown for our photographer."

"The hotel resort is called Hotel Zoso so when you hit the desert for that fabulous getaway think of this place to stay. It is a masterpiece of interior design. Each room is very special, and the minute you enter, you have a peaceful calm come over you…It was like finding a peace of mind I have never known before."
